I am worn out!!! Working 30 hours in three days is a killer. But I made some good tips, so I'm okay with it. It looks like that's going to be my new schedule - Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. 9-10 hour days.

Which brings me to the losing weight thing - I really need to do this!! My legs and feet are killing me - and by Sunday I'm so sore I can hardly walk. I know its because I'm about 40lbs heavier than when I bartended last. I got the yoga DVD out yesterday and I'm going to start doing it again in the morning. I'm hoping it will help me with the soreness a little while I NOT SO PATIENTLY try to lose some of this weight. My body cannot handle losing at the pace that I have been losing. I need to make some drastic cutbacks so I can get some weight off - otherwise my legs are just not going to make it.

So, along with the yoga, tomorrow starts STRICT induction for me again. I need to do this for my body - I can't make a living and be this fat. Its too hard.

You can do it! I'm seventy pounds lighter than my highest weight. It may take some time - but where will you be otherwise in a six months, ten months or a year. Next time someone offers you a doughnut, pie, cake, candy, etc. PASS. (Except maybe if it's a holiday or birthday celebration). Those aren't daily foods unless you want to get fat and sick. The biggest lame excuse is "I can't afford Atkins." Lean meats and canned or frozen vegetables are cheap - but the people I talk to just don't want to give up their goodies. You're on the right path here - so keep up the good work - you can do it!!!!! I did it even with arthritis - so there wasn't lots of exercise - and wicked allergies too this past spring that are revved up now too. I'll join a gym once they're (the allergies) are under control as finally the arthritis is no longer agonizing. Best wishes - go for it. The key to solving a problem is realizing you've got one. The best thing for me was having an old friend calling a spade a spade and telling me years ago I was fat and I was, even though I still thought I was thin. Now I know I am as I'm at my ideal body weight... :)

OK, Girlfriend. Let's DO this! One day at a time. 20 NC tomorrow!! No more than that. And we'll get some exercise in even if it's just 10 minutes! I'm expecting an email from you tomorrow telling that me that you succeeded in meeting these 2 goals! :)

You can do it Paige! I am loving the yoga. Good luck on your fresh start. You got some great hours! At least they are great for tips. :)

I will say something about balance. You can improve our feet even BEFORE you lose the wait. I am finding I can stand for much longer periods of time after starting all the balance games on the Wii Fit. Yoga is good for that too. I would definitely do a lot of the standing balance poses because that will help your feet in the short term while you lose the weight long term. I can stand for longer periods now than when I was lighter...I would even check into a balance board of some sort because that would help even more than the standing yoga poses. (I have seen pictures of a non techie one so it does not have to be the Wii fit :p)
