I have had a couple of super busy days at the office. Two days of technology architecture meetings from 8-5:30 both days have fried my brain matter. Must replace an outdated application we use. Will mean a four year project and lot's of millions of dollars. Gotta figure out how to pay for that!!
So,.... bags of candy, bagles and donuts abound for 2 days. I did restrain for the most part, had a few mini snickers and a bagel but the good thing.... I ATE NO DONUTS!!! I did bring some fruit for everyone, apples and bananas and they did get eaten and folks thanked me for bringing something healthy...imagine that! We were all on our own for lunch so I was able to keep that healthy, salad one day and a sandwich today so that was good.
I have come to discover that the older I get the more I like sticking with my routine and I don't like when I have to deviate from it, I feel out of sync and somewhat like the deviation was not so good. I never felt like this when I was younger.

Great job staying away from those donuts. I like to stick to a routine too at least as far as exercise. As far as anything else I am pretty impulsive. lol

Babs, great job with your food during this stressful period. And yes, I have discovered that I am the same. I enjoy the same routine, with an occasional side trip. ;)

Routine is good! In fact, I've had a hunch that the reason so many people fall off plan on the weekends is because the weekends don't have a specific "routine" like weekdays do. Gotta love a rut....at least some of them. LOL!

You did great! It's hard when the temptation is so close, and life is hectic and stress abounds. And it was really nice of you to bring the healthy snacks in. :) I like routines myself and when I stray from it It leaves me tired, and sometimes it's hard to get back in the groove again once I stop. I'm going to try and be good this weekend with fair food all around for 2 days, but I think I can get through it.
