DAMN!!! After 3 weeks of being sick and not losing or gaining an ounce, I weighed and find myself up 4 lbs!!! WTF!!!$#@#$%^&** :(
OK rant over..., Regroup, reevaluate and get my mind right!!! I guess the rice, garlic bread, pasta have caught up with me in a bad way... gotta get it back on target. Gonna reset my goals back to smaller incremental goals to be more achievable in my mind.
OK, fessing up...so I weighed a couple of days ago and discovered this, but it has taken me a few days to actually record it since it did not go away due to water or some fluke...damn I am pissed! I have been in a real low point but I am reenergizing today and getting back on it!!!
I need you buddies...Give me strength :)

Babs, we all have times when we slip. As your new tip for says, "Fall off the horse, get back on and rida another day." Great advice and addvice that I am sure you will follow. I am sure that when you next weigh, the 4 pounds plus will be gone. Have a great weekend. Hope that you are finally over being ill.

We are here for you. Just keep at it Babs! I am going to be facing the scale tomorrow too. We will just keep trying our best and remember this is our journey.

Being sick does some strange things to the body. But rice, pasta, and bread in larger than usual quantities do some very predictable things to the body :). Either way, you know what to do. Don't put it off, the longer you wait to get back on track, the harder it gets. Hope you are feeling better, and You Can Do This!

Thanks guys, my head is in the right place. I think what screwed me up was being static the whole time I was sick and then WHAM, a huge gain. I am gonna drop from 1900 to 1600 RDI for the week, I changed my goal (for the visual effect to keep my mind right). I do measurements tomorrow and having blood work repeated in a couple of weeks so I have some mini's to work toward. As a side note, got the universal partially put together today. 2 steps out of 7 are done. Only one tiny little argument! Lot's of tiny little parts that would drive anyone crazy!! Luv ya guys, thanks for all the support!! Hubby is in process of carving me a pumpkin .....all is good! :)

Hi Babs... I SO completely understand your frustration and the not recording for days. I've done that SO many times! You just think - it's GOTTA be water retention... no way could I have eaten THAT much, right? But hey, you could have done SO much worse and you've caught it and you've also been honest with yourself. You ARE on the right track and you'll do just fine. And WHAT is with this strange sickness that never seems to leave? I've been sick for two weeks, too, and doesn't seem to be leaving any time soon. Hmmm... maybe between that and surgery I should expect to feel better soon?!

Babs...you're on the right track. You've set up smaller goals with the intent of staying on the straight-and-narrow for this next period of time. It is *perhaps* not realistic to expect any one of us to continue losing, or to even stay the same weight, when we're actually sick. HOWEVER, if we end up adding some weight, we've got to take steps immediately - just as you've done - to drop the added weight and get back into our groove! Hope you stay healthy and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
