kmunson's Journal, 03 September 2013

My son came home from his first day of work really late. We were expecting him about 6-6:30 pm. He walked in the house after 8:15 pm. That gave Mom two extra hours of worry...but him 2 hours of overtime!

He said the first day was ok, but a lot to take in. So we will see how it goes. Man I love that kid...but he drives me crazy some days.

He has a long drive if I remember correctly. I hope there is no harsh weather over the next few days, until he gets used to the trip, and I think that moms were made to worry, right! So you are being the perfect mom.

He is driving about an hour away from home...which is why I was so worried when he did not come home as expected. He also has to drive in rush hour traffic at times in that metro area. He is from a home town of less than 3000 people that have never experienced rush hour traffic...so of course I worry how he will handle that experience. We are approaching our fall up here. Temps should be mild during the time that he is doing this job. We are only praying that he has to drive in rain. It is so dry here after a wet spring and early summer. He will have wonderful drives seeing the fall color foliage this year. I guess I am overstressed. My baby child started high school today also as a freshman. Big day in our household. One started their first post college job and the other started high school. Third child is busy in her senior year of college. Thanks for the vote of confidence in my parenting abilities deegee's mom!
