Started doing two new methods yesterday: Oil Pulling (OP) for overall good health and Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) for face and neck. I'm really interested in the health benefits of all natural oils. There are so many uses! I purchased a ton of carrier oils, essential oils, and other organic products (organic deodorant too) today online. Can't wait for them to arrive to put them to use!

Calorie counting, exercise, and meditation is coming along as planned. Staying focused. Really can't wait to see if OP and OCM actually work. So far so good! Just finished washing my hair and doing a natural deep conditioner...takes SO long lol...Feeling squeaky clean though! Slumber awaits. :D

UPDATE answer to @SillyBones10 question below:
Right now I'm using Extra Virgin Olive Oil to do my Oil Pulling (I'm on Day 4!), but after doing a little more reading I've decided to switch to Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Organic Sesame Oil. I'll do EVCO for one month then the next month do OSO (OSO comes highly, highly reccomended though). People say they have a gag reflex when they swish the oil but I've never experienced that at all. I also have not had any problems with the length of time you have to swish which is 15-20 minutes. I swish the oil in my mouth for 15 minutes on an empty stomach in the mornings then spit out the toxin-filled oil into the toilet and flush (ppl say spit it in the trash but...I just get rid of it in the toilet). Never get rid of it down your sinks though bc it's said to clog up your pipes! I do this only once per day in the morning but I think you can do it at any time of the day. I almost forgot to add that you go ahead and floss and brush your teeth after you do the Oil Pulling (Be sure to replace your toothbrush each month). The oil is supposed to pull toxins from your body as you swish and aids in overall health. I don't have any oral health problems but my teeth feel SO clean after only 4 days. My gums look better too it seems. I think i'm having a better time sleeping as well. I'll have to keep doing it for a while to give a more thorough report though. Many ppl reccomend EVCO and OSO and I buy most of my organic oils, products from AllStarHealth.com. You can try that site if you can't find products near where you live.
Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) is the beauty regimen of using oil to cleanse the skin on your face. I've been doing it for 4 days on my face and neck and I'm thoroughly impressed I have to say. I have very oily skin in the spring and summer so what I do is I use 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil (i.e. Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Grapeseed Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Almond Oil, or Organic Castor Oil), and 1 drop of an essential oil (i.e. Organic Tea Tree Oil or Organic Lavendar Oil). I rub that together in my hands and then onto my face for about 1-2 minutes then take a hot towel and place on my face until it gets to room temperature. I then wipe off the excess oil with the towel, rinse the towel, then heat towel again with hot water and place on my face again until it cools then wipe off any excess oil. Next, I use some Witch Hazel (alcohol free) or Rosewater on a cotton pad as a toner all over my face. Last, I make my 1 carrier oil and 1 essential oil mixture and rub that onto my face as a moisturizer (I use less than a teaspoon of carrier oil for the moisturizer though lol). OCM really helps the face keep more of it's natural oils w/o being stripped by cleansers (the face will overcompensate for the stripping of natural oils from harsh cleansers by producing more oil on the face) which is why I decided to start doing OCM. Look up Oil Pulling or Oil Cleansing Method on youtube.com and there are lots of informatonal videos about the methods. Happy Organic Oil Hunting! :D :D :D

Glad to read you switched to the EVCO - I do this, not daily, but I do feel better when I do it. I do it about once a week and maybe it's a good thing I don't do it 2-3 times daily as recommended as it never occurred to not to spit into the sink... duh... but then I do run a lot of hot water constantly so I guess I haven't clogged anything up, LOL. Haven't heard of the cleansing - interesting concept. Thank you for sharing.
