lovergirl654's Journal, 29 July 2013

So, these past few weekends have been filled with events and food. Talk about difficult. So I have not lost a darn pound. But I am not quitting because quitting is not an option. Today I am going home on my lunch break and getting on my treadmill for 30 minutes. and going to incorporate exercise in my diet as I have still not been able to do that successfully.

Quitting is just not ever and option no matter how frustrating plateaus can be.

Life does come with a lot of bumps and bruises, glad you are not letting it drag you down. Hang in there and as they say..."this too shall pass". You have got this!!

That's right! DO NOT quit! If you have to conviction to keep on trying even if you fall often, then you're doing fine. It is NOT easy at all, but don't give up on the fight. Keep up that spirit! YOU CAN DO IT

You are so right, that quitting is not an option!!! So what if the scale said you haven't lost a pound. You know what you have to do to get it going again!! I only weigh myself once a week. I may start weighing my self on Mondays and when I go to the doc on fridays. Thats enough for me. I refuse to be bullied by my scales or my diet!!! Keep it up!!!

thanks you guys. I felt down but had to pick myself back up because quitting is not an option. I just want to see the 350s waah waah. LOL. Your support helps me realize it is not only me that goes through these things, we all do. So, suck it up, and keep moving forward. I can't help weighing myself daily. I am trying to stop but I am addicted. I see the scale everytime I pass the hallway.

Lol, I am the same way. I weigh every morning and I don't know how many times I've jumped on it in the evening before heading to bed. I don't let the evening weigh-ins get to me. They are mostly just out of curiosity to see what the difference will be in the morning. I also have to continually remind myself that regardless of what the scale says, as long as I know that I am truly doing what I'm supposed to be doing, then I'm doing just fine. If I can look back and be honest with myself and see something that's not really as on track as it should be, then I have some fixing to do. Either way, you are taking care of business. :)

U just made me wanna run in the hallway and weigh myself b4 bed. Lol. I have the urge. But I get what you are saying but it just gets 2 me for a few and then I get over it as my motto is that everyday is a new day to stay over.

Try not to weight yourself daily, try to do it once a week, that way you'll see "bigger numbers" 'cause it'll be the accumulated lb you lost the whole week. I weight myself every 2 weeks. I used to do it once, and before that, I did it daily. But finally convinced myself that the scale is just PART of my journey. I prefer to trust my clothes, they're more honest than the scale. Also, if I keep weighting myself every single day, it stresses me out! Because if I gain half lb I'd just blame myself and feel down. Good luck!

I hear u Ponky its just that I was over 400 lbs and so I constantly need to know if I'm going down. It's obsessive I know, but a kinda necessary one for me right now. I'm currently going down so all is well for the moment, but one day I may work up to it.
