We didn't get home until around 11 last night, then to bed around 11:30, so it will definitely be an evening workout tonight, but I'm going to do it. It was a good night though. I was so proud of my daughter for being part of the All-Star softball team, and she was so excited to get to play. Her team won so they were very excited and they all got trophies. Last night was the last game, so now we will be able to get back to life as usual.

I was figuring up my numbers for how many grams of protein, carbs, and fats I should be eating (or not eating) per day and I have been over the carbs and fat, and under in protein. Now, my goal is going to be trying to stay at or under the carbs and fat, and at or over the protein goal. I should be getting about 100 g of protein, 160 g carbs, and 40 g fat. Having a goal I hope will help me make some even better choices in what I'm putting in my body, and in turn help keep my calories within a reasonable range.

Now, I just need to find a good side dish for dinner tonight and we'll be good. I think we're having baked potatoes (I'm doing a sweet potato) and cantaloupe, but I want to put one more thing with that because my hubby always complains that it's not enough, probably because he won't eat the melon. I thought about biscuits, but those are too many carbs. Hmmmm........ Maybe I'll just make broccoli and another veggie for the kids and tell him tough luck. :)

Glad the game went well! How do you figure your numbers for grams of protein, carbs, and fats you should be eating? I know I eat too many carbs and not enough protein, but I'm not sure what numbers I should be aiming for.

I googled how much protein per day, and found a site that gave the numbers to calculate. They may not be exact but it gives me something to shoot for. The site I think is acaloriecounter.com. It says that fat intake should be between 20-30%, so I went with 25% and 1 g of fat is 9 calories, so take your RDI x .25, then divide that number by 9 to get the grams of fat per day. It is similar with protein, but you have to figure by how active you are. I used .8 g protein per pound of body weight, because I do exercise, but I sit all day at work. This would put me a little over 100 g, but for now I'm shooting for that. Then carbs are what's left over after you've figured fat and protein. So if I aim for 1400 calories and 100 g protein at 4 calories per gram, then that's 400 cals., and 25% of cals. from fat is 350 cals., then 650 cals. are left for carbs, and 4 cals equal 1 gram, so 650/4 = 162.5 g carbs. There's a lot of math involved, but hopefully this will point me in the right direction. At least now I have a goal.

I am glad the game was a winner. Good way to end the season. I can sympathize with husband thing. My husband is limited in what veggies he likes. Always makes it hard. Good luck!
