Albright777's Journal, 05 September 2008

Today was a good day for exercise. I have increased my distance on my run, and I feel ok so far. I will really know when I try to get out of bed tomorrow morning. LOL.

I'm down one pound today, and have 1 more to go. At least for my goal. My doctor wants me to try and loose 5 to 10 more pounds. I'm 5'7" tall, and weigh 141 now. I feel pretty good. I just don't understand why the 5 to 10 more????????? Well, when I hit my goal, I'm going to just keep doing what I am doing, and if I loose more, great! If I just maintain, Awesome!

Cardiologist called today while I had Abby at the playground today. They left a message about the heart monitor that I had to wear. There was no abnormality found. But that doesn't explain the fact that I still have these palpitations. Well, apparentely Cardiologists hours on Fridays are only to 1:30 in the afternoon. So I have to get in touch with them on Monday. But good news is that they don't seem too concerned about the palps.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I am helping my neighbor throw a supprise 80th birthday party for his Mom on Sunday. I'm also trying to keep it a secret from my 2 1/2 year old daughter, because she'll tell. My daughter calls my neighbor's Mom (who lives in the same house across the street from us) Me Me. She is like another Grandmom to her. And let me tell you. If I make it to 80 years old, I hope to move and grove like this lady. She is great!

Happy weekend all.

Your Pal,
Julie

You are so close to your goal, even if your doc thinks it should be a few pounds lower. Congrats on the great progress! I had some heart palpitations a few years back that went away on their own and were left unexplained by the medical community. I was quite upset with the doctors I saw, too, because they went so far as to suggest I was having panic attacks or had a drinking problem (since alcohol can cause heart palpitations, apparently) because they couldn't find any other reason for it. So take heart (no pun intended!) and know that your issue might just go away on its own, too. Good luck with your neighbour's b'day party. Have fun!

I just noticed that you have one (1) pound to go! Woo hoo! Woo hoo! I take a couple of herbal nutritional supplements. Sometimes those can kind of jazz up your heart rate. Just a thought.

Congrats on only 1lb. to go! Those pesky doctors are never satisfied, and I like your take it or leave it attitude!
