I have been instructed to eat more as my body was in "stavation" mode and wouldn't drop any more weight - so, my weight will probably go up for 2 to 3 days, then start to drop again (I hope and pray).
Bad time to weigh every day, as it frustrates me to work so hard and see negative results - but I pledged the challenge, and I will see it through. *sigh*
223.0 lb Lost so far: 37.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hey new buddy! Yeah your calories are kinda low. Had- have same probably here. YOU feel bad doing higher calories.....but really ya gotta keep feeding your metabolism..... And here's my little trick......SCALE strike!!!! Get a big poster board and walk around the scale....BUT don't get on!!!! Lol. Seriously I CANNOT deal with little ups and downs....and they happen.....but it's hard to SEE. So take a break.....you've lost a lot....quickly. Take a moment ....take IN where you have come from.....enjoy the loss THIS far....and it'll happen. I'm NO pro.....but maybe upping calories be a good idea. They say under 1200 and u just lose muscle.....who ever THEY are!!!!! Lol Hang in there......I know How u feel!!!!! Been there!!!! :-).

Thanks for the encouragement, buddy! I would ignore the scale, but I joined a challenge to weigh every day. Hoo boy. I can take it, though. Increase my calories to 1900 - feels weird. See ya around!

Good on ya! I know it feels weird, but I also think it'll give your metabolism a kick in the pants and start it moving again. Bet you start feeling more energetic as well. =)

Trying to figure out the magic number for your calorie intake can be frustrating. Everybody is so caught up on keeping the number low they don't realize how much damage they do to themselves eating so little. Usually when I eat so little, I end up binging days afterwards. Don't focus so much on the scale, it's just a number. I know it can be hard to overcome that, but you can not see a pound gain... you can't. In fact, my weigh ins now (daily weigh in) show pounds up and pounds down within days... just to show you the scale moves up and down frequently. I always believe the true test to motivation and dedication to anybody's diet really starts after 1-2 months. The first few months you're body is use to the "old" you and you lose a lot of water weight, so naturally you lose more. After the newness of the diet wears off and you're body has adjusted, you stop seeing such dramatic losses and viola... that's when it gets real. Enjoy this new change, play with the numbers until you get it right, and embrace everything! Don't work yourself up over the little hiccups!
