If I tell you I baked cookies yesterday, you'll know I'm not planning ALL safe foods to go to the lake later this week! But I HAVE made a meatloaf and pre-cooked some pork ribs, and we're taking steaks and shrimp kabobs, too! I made 3-bean salad with Splenda and wine vinegar -- actually used 4 beans, green pepper and red onion . . . mmmm! I can hardly wait! Anyway, I'm very happy to report that while I DID take little tastes from the cookie bowl, I'm POSITIVE it didn't amount to a whole cookie! And I exercised portion control last night at dinner. The two nights previous to that, I only ate a steak and a little spinach salad . . . but either the steak was too big or I still used too much salt, because I wasn't dropping my weight down as I wanted. Thank goodness I still have three or four days to work on myself before we leave!

drink lots of water...im sure that will help flush out any extra salt you used...well done on maintaining below that line...

What a beautiful picture of you that is, I had not seen it. I can see you continue to do extremely well, you must have very strong will power. Do a low calorie day and then reward yourself with another big steak (hmmm, I want one too but today is not the day) and two whole cookies. Keep up the good work! :-)

Thanks for the compliment, Information, and thanks for the thought! I don't count calories, just carbs -- and I'm eternally grateful that works for me!! Oh. Except that on your behalf this morning, I looked up the fact that there are 3,256 calories in a pound of butter! :-)

Now how come your journal is eerily similar to what's been going on in my days?? especially that steak and salad for dinner...and not dropping any weight! LOL well, that just about figures, huh??? !@ Shug!!! (that's "hugs" in disguise!)

YOur 3-bean salad with Splenda and wine vinegar is BRILLIANT, I don't know why I didn't even think of using Splenda instead of sugar...I was just going to go oil and vinegar and skip the sweetness...I have a BBQ to make some salads for this month. Thanks for the great idea and thanks for the veggie bouquet idea too, you are too funny. Thanks so much for your ongoing support. It has meant so much to me and you have been so kind.
