Hello Kiddos...
Well... it has been a while, but, it finally caught up with me. I've avoided this "creeping Guam-boo" thing for several weeks - lucky enough I suppose (mingling with all those who feel the need to bring it to work with them - sigh). But, it got me - finally! Maybe this is punishment for "off-diet" celebrations - who knows.

So, I sat at the computer this morning, hacking (and coughing, sputtering, weeping - you get the picture) to figure out just what my "-x" has to be so I can hit my goal the same time Sandy hits hers. Must loose 2.8 pounds before Sunday (UGH!) and then 5 pounds a week there after. I know I can do this... but, get this, daily calorie intake has to start at 720 today and drop each day (as I loose weight) until goal of 250 is reached on May 19th! Then, up to my maintenance intake of 2400 calories until I level off a bit under 250 for several weeks and then I'll drop it down to 2000 - heading for the ~200 lb make someday in in the distance future. Once I hit 250, my goal is to loose about a pound or so every 5 to 6 weeks - we shall see!

I've struggled ever since I hit 262 (down from 326 when I started) last September'ish. It has been a yo-yo ever since! But, topping out at 273 has just scared the loving bee-Jesus out of me! I just HAVE to get back on this trolley!

Wish me luck!

Five # a week seems like a lot... and 720 cal a day sounds like so little. Good luck but try not to feel bad if you don't make those goals. As long as you are reducing, even 1/2# a week, it's good. Definitely better than gaining. Take care.
