So I went to the store today with the hopes of getting a new scale. I have decided that the problem is my scale :) I went to Target and set out 5 scales on the floor. All different brands, and 4 digital and 1 dial. EVERY SINGLE ONE said a different weight!!!! Not one of them was even close to the previous number. An 8 lb difference from the lowest number to the highest. Needless to say, I came out without a scale.

Anyone have a scale that they really like? Before I start going to the doctors office once a week...hahhaha

i find that even relocating my scale to a different floor space can provide a different reading. I wouldn't sweat it.. But I do move my scale to the same location and weigh at approx the same time of day when i log my weight.

Not sure how much of this is true but I read a comment from someone here that said if you think a digital scale is off balance, you should step on it (to turn it on) and let it zero out. Repeat this three times. It is supposed to re-balance it. Sorry you are having such a hard time. I would be pissed too if I couldnt get a straight answer from a stupid scale.

I am the same as flowerdude. I weigh with the same digital scale that zeros each time before I can step on it in the same place in the bathroom with no clothes on after I wake up and pee each day. I leave the scale there and it is always my morning reminder to step on. Good luck

I agree the key is to use the same scale in the same place all the time. It may not be truly accurate but you know if you are losing or not.

My scale always gives me a different weight - even in the same 5 minutes! It drives me nuts too. I might try zeroing it to see if it helps. I tend to take the inbetween weight and hope for the best - or th weight that pops up at least 3 times. Good for battery draining! LOL

Yea, I take the weight that pops up 3 times in a row too. Its very annoying. I always use the same scale, cause I only have 1. I always weigh at the same time, in the same nothing-ness,in the same spot. And every time I get at least 3 different weights. Sometimes I have to weigh myself 5-6 times in 5 minutes to get the same number to come up 3 times in a row. Its really annoying. I just want it to be accurate, so I can trust the numbers.
