anielynn's Journal, 20 July 2008

Being addicted to the internet, I'm wondering if I can do Weight Watchers this way. I lost about 20 lbs at the beginning of this year and have been maintaining for three months. While I'm happy at my current weight, I'm still about 20 lbs away from what was my ultimate goal (and lowest adult weight), and I think it's time to be very strict about it to get the pounds down while I have lots and lots of free time. Can I do it?

Let's find out!

If I can do it... you can do it -- I've done it, so you can too!! ;o) Honestly though, just keep signing in here regulary, record what you eat in your journal, weigh in once a week and use this site as your WW meeting place. That's all I ever did and can't believe that 9 months later it's taken me to GOAL and beyond. Yes, you do have to be strict with yourself -- but personally I think that this site has got to be better than any WW meeting -- ok, I've never actually been to one! But Fatsecret is open 24 hours, every week and you certainly wouldn't have that with a WW meeting. I wish you every success though... and remember never say CAN I... when you can say yes, I CAN!!! ;o)

Thanks, MoonLite! I liked the meetings because they kept me motivated, but I couldn't afford the $40 a month since I lost my job, which is how I found this site. It seems to be an excellent substitute, and free to boot. Woo! Another thing is I'm looking forward to getting in touch with my actual calorie intake instead of just points. Thanks for the encouragement!

Welcome! I've done WW in the past where I attended meetings, and now am back on WW and using this site as a meeting substitute...its working for me! Just keep with it and sign in regularly and be honest with your weigh-ins...you'll be fine!
