ericam16's Journal, 27 March 2013

Today's my first day of dieting/lifestyle change I know everyone calls it something different. I just plan on the old counting calories and exercising...to many times I've tried going about this the wrong way, and I've always gained the weight back. I think my biggest issue is that I like to be perfect about it all. And if I'm not I just throw in the towel. Instead of enjoying a candy bar, and leavig it at that I'll go and eat 5 more. So that's going to be the biggest challenge.

Me too, the new way wasn't working either my doctor said portion control and caloric intake for me she prescribe 1000 k a day including carbs because I do work out but to watch out for sneaky sugars. I love candy and the sugar free has a mild laxative effect. So for now can have a lot of things just break it up. Keep up the good work.

I know exactly how you feel about being perfect about dieting! My RDI is 1500 and if I am 100 calories over I say screw it and eat whatever my taste buds desire... We have to remember to eat for the body we want, not for the body we have. You can do it!

I'm the exact same way. But it can be done, we just have to keep trying.
