So I've been very absent here for a while. My first weigh-in in months is significantly higher than before and I figure it probably warrants a little explanation. After learning I was pregnant I stopped recording my weight as much as before. I had been using another site also- which I have been very absent from the past several months as well- and wasn't sure how I wanted to describe my change in goals. (I have yet to announce on FB. Most of my family already knows anyway, as do many close friends, but more distant friends are probably clueless right now in part because I've been waiting to do a special, cute announcement. Part of me has also toyed with the idea of just not saying anything until afterwards- not sure why this is tempting to me, possibly because the challenge of holding out- I know I can be a very stubborn/ oppositional person sometimes- because I know this about myself, I know this isn't necessarily something I should indulge myself in.)

I do try to keep tabs on my weight gain to make sure that I don't go crazy. I know I've been doing absolutely miserably with portion control and eating when I'm not hungry, but I have been trying to focus mostly on getting a varied, healthful diet, having some activity regularly, and getting ready for the upcoming changes I face. (Baby #2 is anticipated sometime in July. And as my daughter turns five in May, I am working out what my her schooling situation is going to be come fall. Potential construction projects on the house and other secretarial errands for my husband also keep me busy- but it is all a good, happy busy right now. :))
