So I am sure the scale will reflect my indiscretions this weekend. I had Friday's dinner all planned out as I thought we were going to Red Lobster, but DH decided that we were going to Anthony's on the river instead. So I have to go back and change what I had...which wasn't bad until the wine. Then I had a glass of riesling at the theatre.

Saturday started off good but then we went out to Shogun Saturday night and I had a little bit of fried rice but a LOT of vegetables.

Sunday I thought I did pretty good...UNTIL I put in the supposedly sugar free cookie from Golden Corral....REALLY!!!!!! How can something be sugar free and still have those carbs in it????? Aaaarrrggghh!! Well that might explain why I was craving popcorn Sunday night....which I did NOT have any of.

The show In The Mood was great and we had a wonderful time. Saturday night was the Hockey game with DH and DD (and a friend of hers) we won and cannot complain about that.

Sunday we met DH family at Golden Corral (they all love to eat) and DH brother leaves back from Florida today.

So do you think the carbs come from the flour, wheat, etc? on the sugar cookie? I'm sure everything will be fine even with the change of venue - you're so diligent about your meals I'm sure you made wise choices.

Hey Bella not sure but I do know that it was the rice that really seemed to trigger the intense cravings for something sweet. I was eyeballing DH's M&M's all night after that rice and had he offered I would have scarfed them down. The opportunity for ice cream was all that I needed. Then Sunday we went out and it was all I could do not to order the patty melt (for the bread!!!). Today I seem to be back to normal so I do not think the supposedly sugar free cookie had a hard effect on me......not like the rice seemed to have.

Well it sounds like you had a lot of changes and from the sounds of it, you did good. Remember even though you had somethings that weren't as good, you could have just said the heck w/it and really went wild. That's a huge success in itself and you should be proud. I never thought to keep track of what I ate that could give me cravings for the not-so-good stuff - I will have to remember that. You're doing great!!

Thanks Mrs. H - I could really see how I got myself off track the last time and am very happy that I was able to get back on track this time without failing myself.

Knowing how we get off track, how it affects us, and what works (and doesn't) to get back on track, are all as important as losing pounds. It may not seem so, but it's all part of this whole journey. Congrat's on getting back on track!
