So I am living...lol. Don't know what sort of stomach virus my daughter brought home but boy oh boy did it do a number on me. My insides felt like they had been run through a ringer and the tender feeling healed up just soon enough for TOM to come in full force and start kicking me in the abdomen over and over......I know so melodramatic, BUT that is what it feels like. He is a dirty bastard. The good thing is with Tom here the plumbing is starting to work again...slower than normal, and I am sure that is courtesy of the virus (or whatever it was) that I had.

I did find a used treadmill Saturday and we bought it. Got it downstairs yesterday and I imagine that I will be trying to attach the bracket to it this afternoon. I found a couch to 10k app...not sure how it will work but will give it a try. I am excited to get to it....that is saying a lot coming from me because I hate the treadmill. Even DH said "are you sure you want a treadmill...you hate the treadmill". I know, I know but I want to get ready for the 12k that we are doing. He asked me if I was going to leave him. I said, "no you are going to stay with me so you better get some time on it too." Of course DH just cutting back his carbs has dropped 10# without even trying...that is aggravating. He needs to get some muscle work in so probably our next purchase will be some sort of gym system....I am looking on Craigslist. He 'says' he will do it for convenience of being at home...I do not necessarily believe him because we bought that stationary bike that he rarly used.

Anyway, although sick I do not think I did badly at all. It is snowing again here! I am supposed to have a hair appointment today but will need to cancel it because DH will be in my truck. Hmmmm....maybe DD and I should go tubing after work today....hehehe

Grrr for guys that can drop weight without thinking about it! Glad you got the treadmill!!! Maybe you have a TV in front of it! That helps a LOT. Go tubing, that sounds so fun!

Thanks Lizzy...no tv in front of it...just an exercise room with my music player. Maybe eventually we will get a tv...that is probably the only way that DH will get in there and do anything is with a tv and DVR so he can watch his shows...he is pretty addicted to television and his shows.

Glad to hear you got one Jaime, I love mine and have used it the past few winters when I couldn't get outside to walk plus we live on a busy road with no sidewalks at all so it's dangerous to even try. I got the tv hooked up in front of mine and am hoping DH will now use it some, he to is pretty much addicted to Law and Order plus CSI. He can just walk and watch it, I hope hope hope. Have fun, once you get on to it you'll love it. The tv is fairly new for me, I had always used music prior to that.

Hey Sunkeeper...we actually have an exercise in this house with the spongy floors..however it is the room that DD wanted as hers and she bought carpet to lay over the floor. When she ships out we will turn it back to a home gym. It was the perfect room for her since it was in the basement and she works nights. I will be moving my home office downstairs into the room that is for an office (I didn't because I did not want to disturb her sleeping by being on the phone). This will free up a bedroom upstairs (and we already have a guest suite) so of course she will have a room when (not sure that will be) she comes home to visit. Once I get the room set up (it has cable connected) then I will get the tv going and DH can watch his shows and maybe I can get him in the habit. Babysteps...I am hoping and praying that his A1C will be down when he goes back to the doctor in April.
