Life is good. We just had my youngest foster daughter and her 2 children for 5 days. It was exhausting but so much fun. We took them to the train station on Monday morning so they could head home and the train was delayed because of a mudslide so she stayed another day. Kind of a funny answer to prayer, I thought!
I was down on my steps/exercise while the kids were here and I did not track my food but my weight didn't go up so I am satisfied. Today, I am back to tracking, however.
Yesterday I stood up and felt a pop in my right knee. It is sore again today but I believe I can still do my 3 miles on it. Hopefully, it won't irritate whatever little issue I am having in there.I've already gotten over 100 miles of walking in since the first of the year so I am on task to finish 600 before the end of the year. Actuall, I am doing so well, I might change my goal to 900 miles.
I'm thankful for my fosterdaughter and her children. I love this relationship with her that has lasted many years and many hardships. She is a lovely young woman with a bright future. Glad to watch her mature. I'm thankful that I didn't shoot my diet all to pieces when they came to visit. This lifestyle change is getting easier- even on days when I don't keep track. I'm thankful that the days are getting longer and spring is right around the corner.
