I had my first oops in 4 weeks last night. I beat myself up about it and now I am getting on with it. This has never happened to me before. What I mean is I have never not given up. Perhaps I am more mature now, or motivated, or just plain sick of being fat. Yeah I think that's the one. The exercise is still eluding me. I tell myself to go to the pool as it is open and then make an excuse because it is cloudy.
I am worried after talking to my granddaughter the other day because she said that when she comes to my house we bake cookies and cake and RECYCLE. She's 4. I know I can make low carb cookies and hope I can find a low carb cake. I can resist the original but why tempt fate. Fortunately recycling is diet friendly and she is learning well what we save and is trying to teach her little brother and sister.

Since you like to recycle....maybe you could still bake cookies and cakes with your granddaughter but instead of eating them, wrap them up and give them to someone else...That would be a fun thing to do together and you wouldn't have to eat them.

You did the right thing by moving on and not giving up! Kudos to you! And hi5girl has a great idea of what to do with the cookies :)

Oops happen, the key to not let oops happen very often, you are doing great, don't give up, and watch those clouds, think they are breaking up over there in the east?? :) You might want to add to your granddaughter's list of things you guys do together-exercise. :) Sounds like your granddaughter has a great time with you--it will stay with her for the rest of her life, wonderful memories of love!

ya sound like the perfect gran to me.. so my solution is this.. for the next visit.. ditch the baking and do some play WWE wrestling instead!!!! Easy! (easy for me to day that is!) the odd 'oops' just proves that we are human.. the exercising is always terrible BEFORE ya get stuck in... once your doing it its brilliant... keep going...

How about not baking... Teach her young that we don't need sweets to have fun... Take her to the park, or something outdoorsy... Pack a picnic, I'm sure she'd love to help you make sandwiches! The working out is hard til you get there... Even if you have to fight yourself the whole way there... Once you get there, just do it... You may have to tell yourself, oh, I'll just do it for 10 min, then push yourself for more..

Getting back up after a bad day is the best thing you can do. You are strong and are doing so well. Enjoy your visit with your granddaughter.
