Sandy701's Journal, 18 January 2013

Waiting, waiting, waiting this morning. I thought I was waiting on a car part to be delivered, but it turns out it might be just a mouthpiece for a musical instrument! Why they need a signature for that, I don't know, when the larger, much more expensive car part was just left at the front door yesterday.

Oh well, it turns out I'm also waiting on a contractor to come out to get us some heat in the back part of the house. The thermostat for that unit just went completely dark, so there's no way to turn on the unit. It was pretty chilly back there, but heated up nicely with a couple portable heaters. Still, I'll be very happy if we can get this fixed before having to go through the weekend like that. Luckily, the main part of the house has heat.

My food plan was right on target yesterday. FINALLY!!! Habits and recoveries all start with a successful Day One and that's what I had. I'm psyching myself up to have a successful Day Two. So far, so good, but then again, it's not quite 10AM - LOL!

It's sunny today, cold, but already warming into the mid-40's. Not quite sure about the exercise today, but will do something, even if I can't leave the house.

Hope everyone is staying warm and looking forward to a warmer weekend.

Look Out - Here comes Sandy! Of course - Day One is the best way to start Day Two! And I am confident all those good habits will come right back to you. Best of luck with your heat - I know you haven't had the best of luck with your contractors.

Buffy, you know all about the Day One leading to Day Two, now that you've had a successful couple of weeks! Excellent service from this HVAC contractor! They've already been out and fixed the problem with only a semi-major dent to the checkbook balance. Nothing to do about that - gotta have heat.

Hey Sandy! All the other days fall into place so nicely when we can get day one under our belt. Whether it is an original day one or a start over day one or a back on course day one..haha. Hope you have a great weekend.

Jaime, never thought Maintenance would require some fresh starts from time to time, but I guess it does...thought there was a Magic Wand of Maintenance that just made everything easier, but no such luck - LOL! Hope your daughter gets some good news in the next couple weeks.

Sandy - on above comment - I stayed "in Maintenance" for over 10 years, through a variety of diets (but mainly stress and starving myself). No wonder I gained the weight back. Next time will be different. For one thing, I'm counting on you to get me through.

Bren, that darn package didn't get here until almost 4! Got a lot of things done in the front part of the house, though, watching for their arrival. Have you thawed out from your outdoor workout today?

Good job on the food plan, Sandy. Sorry about the waiting, and Bren, God love you, sorry about the hay!

Bren, I hear you on needing to get rid of the smell...I had a great-aunt that was a real stickler on cleaning up after farmwork. The story goes that she wouldn't even let my great-uncle in the house unless he had cleaned up completely in their clean-up area/bath that was far-removed from the house! Looking forward to seeing those pics!

As you know Heather, some days, one just has to fight on through. Luckily, most days aren't like that. :)
