Today marks a fantastic milestone for me - I've finally got back into my healthy BMI range and so am no longer technically overweight, hurrah!!

I now have less than 10lbs to get to my goal weight - and I know the last 10lbs are supposed to be the hardest, but I'm going to remain 100% focused and try to battle my way through them as quickly as possible, so I can start on the maintenance phase!

I'm still sticking to my zig-zagging diet plan 100% and I've continued building up my daily exercise with the help of my fab Wii Fit. I'm loving the yoga and muscle workouts in particular, and can already see and feel the benefits! I'm going to start reintroduing my cardio workouts this weekend, so that should really help burn off the rest of my excess flab - woohoo!!

The only slightly negative thing I have going on at the moment is that my husband has gone from being fully supportive, to vaguely supportive, to not at all supportive. He says I've got too thin, although he did admit his main area of concern is my drastically diminished boobs! I have pointed out that they can easily be fixed, and we'd already discussed how he was going to buy me a boob job once we've had baby #2! I feel quite sad about it, because I'm doing this for my health and to set a good example to our little boy, and there's no point in stopping before I've reached my goal. This is such an important thing for me to do, and it's a shame I no longer feel I can share my excitement about my progress with him, so I'm just keeping quiet about my weight loss at home. Oh well, good job I can still come on here to talk about it!!

Fabulous news about your BMI! I don't know if my BMI has EVER been in the "healthy" range :p I know you'll get those last 9.2 lbs off in no time. It's odd how we hear about so many husbands being less than supportive with the wife's weight loss. And it's not like you are going for extreme fashion model skinny. You've chosen a very healthy goal weight. It must be hard to not have his support. It's supposed to be common for men to feel insecure when their wives lose a significant amount of weight - that she will now be more attractive to other men. Also, many men prefer women with "a little meat on their bones". Either way, try not to take his attitude too personally. I am sure that once you've been at your goal weight for a while, he will get used to the idea and it won't be an issue anymore. And, yes! you've always got us to support you :)

Thanks, Evelyn. I think it's partly because it's such a big change for me to go from being very obese to "normal" in less than a year - and he didn't know me when I was slim, so it's all new territory. There's also the slight issue that he could do with losing a few pounds himself - not a huge amount - and I think perhaps my weightloss has made him feel more "pressurised" (not by me!) to slim down a bit, which he's just not ready to do at the moment. I will admit to being quite an obsessive, both in terms of the diet and my exercise, so it probably does get a bit boring sometimes. However, I think we need to be quite obsessive to be successful in this, or indeed any big challenge, so I'm not going be too apologetic about that! Thank goodness for Fatsecret and all my wonderful buddies!! :)

Congrats to you on getting in that healthy BMI range. BRAVO! And I agree with Evelyn about hubby. In time, he'll get used to it. He's going to have to!!! :) Good luck on losing that final 10 lbs. You're going to do it, I'm sure!!

Yayayaya! AWESOME about doing so well, consistently and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!! Keep up the great work! I can hear my hubby saying the same things.... he's always liked curvy, even though I was a curvy size 5 when he met me, I sincerely doubt that he'd be so appreciative of a size 5 now. I'm sure he'd complain about how I were too small. Alls I can say, is stick to your guns!! You are doing this for the right reasons and to be a healthy weight. Make him goto a doc appointment with you so he can hear from the doc about how much longer you'll live and how many diseases you can avoid by doing so. Maybe coming from someone who he can respect in the health field will help him in being supportive again. :) Keep on rockin' it sista!! :)

You're doing a magnificent job-give him time to get used to it- he'll come around. The way you've done it, this last 10 pounds will fly off.

Fantastic news, Leanne, re breaking the BMI barrier!!! You did it!! It's like a sculpture is ready--only some fine smoothing & chiseling will be needed from this point forward--you'll get there soon! This is very inspiring--I hope to join you there in 3 months myself!! Meanwhile, sorry to hear your husband's being a little selfish right now--you seem to have figured it out--his issue may be that his head..er body..may be on the chopping block soon once you're done working on yours! Don't let it dim your spirits, nor be quiet about your celebrations---you have worked so hard to get so far--and dammit! You deserve to shout from the rooftops..let hubby become jealous, annoyed etc...he'll have to come around soon!! Meanwhile, ofcourse, we're here for ya cheering you on ! Hurray!

Woohoo... congratulations on reaching that healthy BMI, that's fabulous! Still a couple more pounds for me (I think!), but nearly there. Aw, sorry to hear that your hubby isn't being so supportive, but I'm sure he will come around in the end and realise that you are doing this to be healthy. As you said though he never knew you when you were slim previously... so it's all a big change for him and I agree with Evelyn that sometimes it can also be a bit of an insecurity thing too. I think also they worry that we may take things to extreme and won't know when to stop. Just remember you can shout to us with all your excitement anytime... I will be cheering you on ALL the way to GOAL. Let's go get it girl... that finish line is in sight!! ;o)

Thanks for all your support!! I know hubby will come round - and Sue, you are definitely right about him (and others!) worrying that I'm going to take it too far. However, anyone who looks at my food diary will see that I'm definitely not one for starving myself!! It just makes me more determined to get to maintenance ASAP to be able to stop "dieting" and prove everyone that I really am OK! :)
