I got a Christmas card yesterday from my best friend in high school yesterday. It said "so close, yet so far". How very true! It has been so long since I have seen her - I completely isolated myself from so many people as I tried to deal with my now ex husband's addictions. I will call her and see if we can pick up the pieces.
It is so wonderful to be able to focus my energies in a new direction. Last night I met with a local PTO to discuss details of a book drive. Pretty excited to get that going in 2013.
I am getting pretty danged excited for the end of the year - I think I have a good chance of meeting my goal - less than 2 pounds to go and the monthly plateau is over.
