Yesterday I thought I had gone over but when I journaled the food I was OK. yeah. Today exercise at the chicken coop-butchering the old hens and cleaning the coop. Hope to get on the bike this afternoon. Feeling good. Go Calorie Counters we can do it.

That is so strange. Just tonight I was trying to explain to my daughter what an "old hen" is. I grew up in the country with lots of laying hens that eventually ended up in the stew pot. She only knows chicken from a store. Kind of sad really. And here you are talking about old hens. Since most of my family has passed on, it sure is nice I found someone who knows what the heck I'm talking about. Glad to hear you are feeling good. :)

Still have more old hens to go. They have finished moulting and are not laying. I do not want to feed them all winter so we will have lots of chicken for stew. I will start with new chicks in the spring. Today one our ewes had twin lambs.
