Warning - there may be TMD here (I'm just journalling)

I'm feeling a bit weird today. I had three filling meals yesterday although lunch and dinner were mostly vegetables. I felt fine when I went to bed; much better than I had been feeling at the weekend. Then through the night I got up to the loo 3 times and again twice this morning. Is that just a reaction to the vegetables yesterday, or is it my body's clean-out reaction to the nausea and stomach pains I had over the weekend? Either way, I feel strangely empty yet not really hungry.

I'm on a push again to increase the nutritional value of my diet - as wide a variety of fruits and vegetables as possible, a little protein, wholegrains and fats and an absolute minimum of manufactured products. It shouldn't be too difficult as the culprits for me are the evening snacks, chocolate and beer. Apart from those I use hardly any processed or pre-prepared foods anyway.

I've had no alcohol now for 4 days - being ill broke the pattern. I feel more thirsty than usual and I'm drinking loads of water.

Despite a low calorie intake yesterday (75% RDI) and a night in the bathroom, there is no change on the scale this morning since yesterday! My body is probably protesting at the lack of calories this week!

I think you're right, your body might be holding on to what it's got. Just keep doing your best. Drink PLENTY of water (and then some!), and try to get reasonably close to RDI. That usually does it for me in a situation like yours. Hope you feel better.
