Its bizarre that you have to drink lots of water so you don't retain it :-/

I did, but that was only a placeholder so I could remember to replace it properly and even now I've done it I deliberately erred towards overestimating weights which makes it even more confusing as to how I managed to gain this week. It _MUST_ be water weight. It can't be anything else!

I would go with water. I've noticed my weight does rise if i don't drink enough and wee like a horse lol
