Bible Bliss's Journal, 13 September 2012

Weight has not budged since Saturday morning. Could be water retention? Tweaked a few things with food yesterday anyway. Decided to have more protein at breakfast and omitted refined carbs (crispbread). Managed to fit in 3 fruit servings, had a salad for lunch, a roasted yam with dinner, no snacks after 7pm, and kept below my RDI. Will try to do the same today. Weigh in day is on Saturday. Hope to see some results, even fractional.;-)

Got out of the house yesterday - made my day lol. Felt so good whipping around on the loaner wheelchair from Safeway.;-) Feels like ages since I've exercised and really miss it!!! Will phone physio and make an appointment today...

Looking forward to the weekend.:) Am attending a Bible seminar by a visiting theologian from Spreckles, California who comes to Vancouver once or twice a year. MESMERISING speaker. Can't wait!!! Will take place all day Saturday and Sunday, as well as Friday evening. We will be looking at the Gospel of Luke. Time always passes too quickly. The trick will be getting there as its located on the North Shore (where my kids and where my former family home is, and where I work), a good 45 minute drive from my present residence. Not comfortable driving long distances these days as I need to use a cane to push the accelerator...but want to go!!! Will try Barnet Hwy which is slower to navigate than the freeway. The things I do for excitement.;-)

Oh my, yo poor thing. You my dear must have the patience of a saint! I'd be screaming mad by now. I make a HORRID patient. If you could get some therapy it would probably move things along. Accelerating with the use of a cane, oh that would be so dangerous for me, I'm a huge klutz!!! Hope you get to your weekend seminar it sounds amazing. Not sure if you are taking NASID's or not (ibuprofen, advil or the like) they cause water retention. Sounds like you are doing well with the diet. Hang in there and have a great day!

SUZI: Thanks for stopping by - your kindness is much appreciated.;-) I see you follow WW too. How is it going for you??? LAURIE: LOL, yes, sadly patience is not the most glamorous gift of the bunch. Would love to have your outspokenness!!! ;-) Am rather uneasy about doing the long drive, but will try and go cautiously. Can always turn around if it gets too frightening. Hopefully not. Interesting point about taking NASID's...am taking a Tylenol 3 with an extra-strength Tylenol every 6 hours. Do feel bloated all the time. Will Google them and see if they, too, cause water retention. Might try going without and just keeping my brain really distracted? After all, think that all pain killers do is just block our brain receptors from feeling the pain. Not as if the pain actually gets any lesser. Thanks for the heads up.;-)

Hi Maria. I haven't been on much this weekend. Had some internet issues. Hope you got to the Bible Class and that you learned a lot and enjoyed it. Hope this will be a better week for you and that you can soon say good bye to that chair. Hugs!
