I have lost 59 lbs in the last year using the Atkins way of life. I have been on a long time stall (plateau) and it is, apparently, being caused because I don't eat enough. That really sounds like an oxymoron to me. I am hoping by having a way to more accurately counting carbs and calories, I will be able to push past this plateau and reach my goal.

Hi Stacy. I found that, along with low carb, I had to start counting calories too. Keep experimenting until you find the right combination that works. And congrats on the 59 pounds - that is awesome!

Thanks to the Fatsecret main page, I saw the entries both of you made - I am in the same boat. I am told - more fat, more protein, more calories - but how many?? It is hard to find the balance and I can't seem to find a formula anywhere. Maybe we can be of some help to each other?

ds1960 - the only formula I can find is to increase carbs 5 grams at a time. Its being really hard for me. In the research that I have done so far, it seems more fat is the key so I started having an "egg cream" for breakfast every day. Haven't noticed a change yet. In my efforts to increase my calorie intake, I feel like my carb intake is out of control. I feel like I do need help!
