Fire the meteorologists!!! We were NOT supposed to have rain the rest of the week except for the good possibility of late-day-heating storms. Well......just what do they call what's happening this AM????

These showers and thunderstorms are washing out my exercise walking for the day PLUS they're completely canceling my plan to do the lawn (which is seriously overgrown again). It's dark and dreary and my day's plans are shot. A perfect excuse to go over-plan on foods, as well, so I will need to be aware of that and make sure that doesn't happen.

Oh, and did I mention, we have grilling to be done today (meat has been marinating) and it appears that we'll be in the rain for most of the day.

OK, enough of this grumbling. It is what it is and I just have to adjust (I hate adjusting....).

First thing is to figure out what my exercise will be and then get it checked off the to-do list. Then, I'll watch the radar and if it looks like there's a break, I'll go out and grill. And then, I can pick any of SEVERAL indoor projects that have been waiting for me to find some time.

There. New plan in place....just gotta go do it.

Poor Meteorologists - just can't do anything right! But I hate that you made plans for a sunny day and didn't get one. Have fun on your indoor projects and exercise.

Buffy, I just don't understand. Last night the precip. chances were 30% for every day which is just typical for late summer here, no biggie. Then, this AM, in the midst of all this rain, the forecast just happened to change to 70% chance of rain today and 60-80% chance the rest of the week! How did that happen overnight??!! What system magically and abruptly changed course to change the week from "typical" into "a washout?" As you can tell, I'm just grumpy over this change. Gotta change my attitude, 'cuz I can't change reality, right?? I'll try to focus on feeling good that an indoor project can get done. Hope your day is turning out better than mine!

Sorry it rained on your plans for a sunny day, but if you don't want that rain send it my way :)

Maybe they changed the forecast to match the weather?

Notfast....will do. You've been missing out on that forever, it seems, plus your foundation needs that moisture!

Buffy, now you know they'd NEVER do that. LOL!

Doesn't that just frost your petutti when they are so SERIOUSLY wrong...I mean really...people make plans...ya know? At least you were smart enough to re-check the weather & didn't get wet while walking or grilling. I hear you on the lawn needing some TLC...Fast! Mine too. Sometimes it's just hard to have to re-focus onto something else, especially if it isn't something to be looked forward to anyway. Hey...howabout I send you some zucchini to process for me? I heard this morning I have like 5 more lunkers coming (I should weigh one of those, but they are like 18"-24" in length & I can't get my hand around them). Talk about fun in the kitchen! Good think I like zuchhini bread & brownies!

GG...sounds great! I always wondered why the gardening manuals say to harvest zukes when they're 6-7" long. Why not wait to get great big ones??!! I love garden-fresh zucchini, but around here, the squash bugs seem to be able to thwart any prevention measures, so it's just not worth even trying to grow any. I got my grilling in but had to bring the grill inside the screened enclosure (has some plexiglass roof panels for shelter) to do most of it because the rain started up again. I don't want to do that on a regular basis, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
