Charm4u's Journal, 11 September 2018

I haven't been eating as I should. I have been feeling very unsatisfied and my sugar withdrawal was crazy until the cookie I had today. Maybe I need an appetite suppressant. I think I need to reduce my calorie intake according to what my Fitbit says. First week of school for my boys wasn't so bad but our schedules will be very busy as of this week. 3 days at YMCA, karate for one, basketball and swimming for both... plus hubby and I need to find time for the gym and everything else. Parenting is tough.... sigh. Good work out yesterday though my knees hurt... but it was worth.... I lifted those weights like a true champ... my bum even feels tighter 😉... Kick boxing tomorrow, looking forward to that 😊. Keep going fatsecret-ers!

Don’t take suppressants, have a fruit or a date or low fat yogurt...anything with healthy sugar in it in the afternoon, that’s what i do. You are right about the calories, try reducing you meals to half the quantity. Never forget 2: breakfast, healthy snack, lunh, healthy snack then dinner.... no eating 3 hours before bed...

Heyy I feel you on the sugar. Try an apple or incorporate a fruit smoothie. I have one a day and so yummy! Also dark chocolate helps and it’s also a natural suppressant. Good luck, hope that helps!

Thank you. I generally have at least two serving of fruits per day but I've been craving a cookie for so long... I caved to the sugary addiction. I honestly don't like dark chocolate, very bitter.

I hear you about the crazy schedules, having 3 kids myself, it can be pretty hectic. But remember one thing, beginning of school year is always crazy, then, everyone finds its comfort zone and Schedule fixes itself. Keep it up and good luck.

I don't often get cravings for something specific just out of the blue. Normally for me it's if I see something, it triggers the craving. So I avoid having things near me that can trigger a craving. With that said, occassionally I do get strong cravings for chocolate; that come out of nowhere. I think it may be an indicator of an electrolyte imbalance/deficit. I'm not 100% sure yet, I'm keeping an eye on it; but twice now that I've had these cravings I was dehydrated and had symptoms that aligned with electrolyte deficiency . Long story short, your craving might indicate a nutrient/mineral/vitamin deficiency? Just some food for thought.

I just have a big ole sweet tooth and sometimes give in to the cravings. I'm really not as bad as I used to be so I am celebrating that while I drag myself on the road to perfection. 😁
