Vickiauntmick's Journal, 10 August 2018

Some of you have noticed I've been in a slump. I fell off the vegan wagon... and have now remembered why I jumped on it to begin with. I have been swelling, leg pains, constipated, depressed, and tons of acne. This pic isn't for sympathy. It a reminder.

Oh, Vicki, sometimes that happens. I know it's cliche, but tomorrow you have a chance to make better choices for yourself. Get yourself out of this slump and put yourself first. You're the only one who can do it. Sending you love. ❤

I hope getting back to vegan will help clear up these problems. We all slip at times. I accidentally had cheese last week as I didnt realise that not all Quorn products are vegan friendly.

I don't have much to say as it would sound corny! I don't know you personally but do sense your slump as I view your eating habits. I know you love eating Whole Foods from reading your past posts. It is clear to me though that you enjoy your freedom as you love to hike, forage, feel the wind in your face...peaceful times! But life isn't always what you want as you aren't the only one on the planet (darn 😳). There r people that will be in your life that come to depend on you and you will do the honorable thing and help them even though they may not deserve it and even though it takes u away from your dreams temporarily. Hang in there! We ❤️ I!

We all fall off of our wagons. Make the effort to regain some ground daily. Small efforts add up over a few days. You can be back on track without suffering. I am keeping a good thought for you.:-)

Wow, are you a strawberry blonde? How rare and precious! You became vegan because of the swelling, constipation etc?

I withdraw my question about your reasons to become vegan. Did you go on an elimination diet before becoming vegan. Maybe it's not all of the foods you've been eating that have been causing you distress. Maybe it's only a certain kind. (just saying)

I became vegan slowly over like 6 years. I realized removing processed foods stopped my swelling. The obvious replacement was whole natural foods and I started to heal....then I started eating processed vegan. Its such a slippery slope. Its mostly salt. I cant do salt. But I like salt
