Day #9 of Grain Free "Lifestyle Change"

I'd say I'm doing pretty well so far! I've been trying my absolute hardest, and I've been very successful! It was really tough through the first 3-4 days or so, but now it seems to be 2nd nature already. I've found some awesome new websites and iPhone apps that have tons of 'paleo' and grain free recipes. I can't wait to try some of them!

I've really only slipped up a few times - I ate ate a package of peanut butter crackers on Saturday night when I was drunk, I had ravioli one night for dinner b/c I had NO other food, and I ate one super small baby fingerling potatoe last night. Not bad for a carb lover, in my opinion :)

Had our weekly volleyball game yesterday. WE'RE 15-0!! We're kicking some serious butt this season. I love it.

Crossfit tonight. Another awesome workout ahead of me... and lots of burpees!

Perform a plank for Max Time

My weight has been fluctating all over the place since I started this 'diet.' I'm not quite sure what to think. I started out at 142.0 on a Wednesday, and by Saturday morning I was weighing in at 137.4. However, I was extremely hungover and dehydrated, which I'm thinking has a lot to do with it. Now I'm back to 140.0 this morning. But it's almost TOM.... hmm. We shall see where my weight goes in the next few days! I'm curious.

I hope everyone has an awesome day today!

Grain free sounds super hard, good for you for sticking with it! All those burpees would kill me, I don't think I could do them all especially with a 200 m run too. I'm sure your weight will level out, right now TOM has to have something to do with it. With all the work you're doing I'm sure you'll have a drop after TOM. Keep up the good work!!

I about crapped my pants when I read you were doing sets of 180 burpees. But then I regained control of my bowels when I realized you mean "180 burpees" was a thing & you did 22 of them.

Hahah yes, Jess. I felt the same way when I read it this morning. But then realize it's a regular burpee, but when you jump, jump 180 degrees. That made me feel much better.

180 burpees is how many calories burned??? LOL Glad you are seeing the results of grain/processed food restriction!

Sounds like an awesome food plan and exercise routine! Don't sweat the weight fluctuations though, utilize the mirror and gauge how your clothes fit. With low-carb and your exercise routine, you'll be dropping body fat and increasing lean muscle at the same time, so the scale won't always be an accurate reflection of your progress.
