Day 2 of 5 day egg fast diet

Yesterday I had 8 eggs, 6 tablespoons of butter and 113 grams of cheese. Water - some with lemon juice and my bedtime cup of coffee.

I'm not having problems eating eggs yet, I'm still having them scrambled and plain - which I'm planning to stick to today - if need be I'll add some curry powder to them for a change.

The doctor gives me amitriptyline for night pain but I've found that they make me dopey all day. I've bought some melatonin - you can't buy them over the counter in the UK, but it's not illegal to buy them from abroad and use them - and they seem to be better - I may try giving the coffee a miss and seeing if I can sleep without it.

Ok so the egg diet is working? You're losing weight? I am seriously interested in trying this to change things up...

bedtime COFFEE? I'd be up all night. I must stop my caffeine at noon. my sleep isn't the best. I find magnesium combined with valarian root is great. I'm back and forth on the melatonin. umm serious question.. Does the egg diet give you toots?

question, so, you're not hungry when fasting? I'm hungry all the time even when not fasting. hmm.

I started losing weight with an egg diet, I lose around 7 pounds in two weeks, I was so worried about the yoyo thing so I was researching what to do to keep the weight off, and I found THE PERFECT PORTIONS MEAL PLAN AND RECIPE I love those little containers and FatSecret.

I don't live without coffee but I don't sleep if I drink coffee at bed time. The egg diet is good but have to continue counting calories or measuring your food after that, good luck ! ☺

I used to be hungry all theime @jenjabba - I'd eat a huge meal and thirty minutes later I'd feel really hungry. Since cutting the carbs I've found I can go a long time without being hungry. My body nowadays is happy burning my fat - of which there's plenty - which is a solid slow burn, rather than carbs - sugar - which is fast up and down and craving more.

keilin-4 I don't calorie count or measure my food. I do low carb - mainly no flour, no sugar, no root veg and only very occassional fruit.

keilin-4 - I also fast at least 16 hours a day and sometimes up to 66 hours or more.

That is good too, when I am lazy to count calories, intermittent fasting helps me to stay away from overeating, I am not good doing more than 24 hours fast yet.

Ooh interesting.. I do cycles of nortryptylline. A sister drug , fir pain management and by the time I get to 50mg I could sleep all day ( amityrptylline just knocked me out completely 😉) Good luck with the egg fast mini
