What a crappy week for sleep! The last two nights I think I got a grand total between the two days four hours of sleep. I am beyond exhausted can’t work out and I have no idea how I’m even functioning to drive to work and go to work and come home. What a crappy week🙁

Melatonin might help. Bought some when I had trouble sleeping. By the time I used them up, I did not need them anymore. Slept well without.

I’m always this way! My depression makes me not want to sleep unless I’m to the ‘drunken’ stage of exhaustion. I’m finding that the more I work out the easier it is to fall asleep if I just lay down earlier. Say midnight rather than 2am. My issue is that I’ve always slept through alarms and the only thing that wakes me up is certain music or someone talking softly to me. Sleeping pills work for awhile then it’s like I get immune. I have melatonin now but haven’t used it yet as I’m supposed to ask my dr before I start taking anything new like that. Best of luck getting more sleep soon! I’m betting you’ll crash tonight. If you can’t sleep you can try what I do. I either read in dim light, shine a bright light in my face(sleep under a lamp as I was raised to sleep with lots of light) or start watching a movie. The movie can’t be too entertaining or too boring. I also sleep on the couch most nights now as I found that our mattress makes my whole body hurt when I get up of a morning whether I’ve slept 3 hours or 9 :/.

just odd...I’m taking some sleeping pills tonight lol normally I don’t but I need sleep. I’m surprised I haven’t fallen asleep at work yet lol

Glad you got some sleep! I take 2 Benadryl when I have trouble sleeping and it knocks my a$$ right out! 😴

Did you feel groggy or anything with the Advil pm? I was taking trazadone but I dislike prescriptions and it wasn’t working (and had a slight possible reaction to my antidepressant so wasn’t worth it). Ambian and Advil PM were recommended to me but I keep forgetting to get the Advil pm.

Mrsroboto, I need to try benedryl again as I have allergies too. 5-20 years ago when I’d take it I would fall aslee when I needed to stay awake and if I took it at night (took it morning and night) it woke me up as well as an ice cold shower! My mom used to joke that she would never give me benedryl to make me sleep for a trip because I’d just be bouncing off the walls instead lol. It affected her the same but knocks my hubby out within an hour or so.

it works well for me, but the trick is you have to let your mind slow down and actually go to bed if I don't relax then I too end up all night or at least half of it.

Baskington, I’m the same! My mind never shuts off though so it’s always hard to sleep unless exhausted. I’ve wokrn up before because I’m my sleep I remembered something I needed to put on the grocery list or forgot to put clothes in the dryer :/. Plan to try meditation once school starts again.

Funny Advil pm for me anyways I take 2 hours before I actually go to be lol it takes it a while to kick in but once it does good night lol it doesn’t make goggy or anything I always have to take it Sunday nights because the thought of work the next day lol and I’ve been like that for years usually only Sunday nights I take it but I had to get sleep lol
