Great work! You are inspiration! I read this as well and also Dr. Berg on YouTube has several videos on this topic, you may want to check him out he is my go to source for excellent information.

Great job on that weight loss, what a change in your life for the better!! Look up Dr Ken Berry on YouTube. He's an amazing source of info and has some videos on loose skin. From all I've read, collagen will help as well as time. I've also implemented fasting because everything I've heard and read about autophagy has also said that, over time as well, it will help with sagging skin.

@Jennifer12003, Dr. Berry and others note that, on a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting, "autophagy" (the body consuming its own "extra" tissues -- like skin) kicks in. He estimates that one can expect to lose 1% of that extra skin per month on a truly *ketogenic* diet that incorporates intermittent fasting.

That might not be much of a "loss of skin" for people who have lost a lot of weight, like Rebeccaberg and other "stars" here. However, it's a tool in the toolbox. It gives hope to people who may not be able to afford skin reduction surgery, and those who might not be eligible for that surgery.

Rebecca great job! Time is the single greatest component of skin reduction. I am not sure one diet path is different then another for skin reduction. Progressive resistance training, and periodic weigh reduction , accepting plateaus, and time seem to be the most effective for people who maintain weight loss for 6 plus years. Best of luck.

In reading Terrapin12's post something just struck me. We can often be such bullies to ourselves when we hit a plateau on our journey. Instead, maybe we can practice kindness and acknowledge that our body does know best. If we are nourishing it with healthful food and keeping it strong, it will reward us with a healthy body.

I started this in 2006 so yes long and slow... loose some keep it off loose more... get rid of the loose clothes ... keep it off... cycle. I usually buy the next size down in scrubs as I see some I like in the second hand store and put them on the top shelf... I got the new batch down this week AND I don't look like a sausage!
