Questions for my buddies:
Has anybody else had issues with bruising easily after beginning a new diet and fitness lifestyle? I feel like I've been bruising immensely and easily, specifically on my legs. 13 bruises altogether between both legs. Is this a vitamin deficiency? Is this happening to anybody else as well?

This week has gone relatively well. I always trip myself up when I go back to California for a visit with the parents and my sisters. I stayed on track, with one fast food exception. I suppose one cheat every so often can't kill a lifestyle completely, but usually, it's the first step to destruction. I take that one bite and I go crazy for a week. I need to keep myself in line.

Another question:
I weigh my lowest I have been since probably the beginning of high school, 10 years ago. I know I am at my healthiest physically. But, I feel like I am more unattractive than I was at my heaviest 7 1/2 months ago. I don't know. I'm just not used to a newer body, and I have no clue how to dress it. At least before my new lifestyle, I knew exactly how to dress that body in the most flattering way possible. Now, my clothes are almost consistently slightly baggy (I lose an average of 10 pounds a month, why buy new clothes?, and even when I do, they lose their fit so quickly!) Maybe it's that. Maybe it's because I miss the curves. Maybe it's an identity crisis in the making. It's just not something I was expecting or saw coming. Is this happening to anybody else? How are you coping with it?

If too low in Vitamin C. B12 and K, you may be bruising. I would just take a high quality multivitamin supplement. My clothes are baggy, too. But I have some smaller clothes in the closet so I move down the sizes as soon as they fit. I have been small before, so I am not having an identity crisis. My crisis was gaining the weight after age 50 and menopause! You will adjust and be happier because you will be able to do more and have lots of energy. Treat yourself to one good pair of jeans or pants that fit you well now! Some people go to Goodwill or consignment shops while they are losing so they don't spend a fortune buying new clothes every 20 pounds!

I remember being convinced at one point that my healthier eating plan was contributing to me bruising easily. I didn't keep a journal back then so I don't really remember how long I was noticing excessive bruising and never pinpointed it to anythign in particular, though. So, useless comment haha. About the body image - it's a struggle for everyone I think. At my lowest a few months ago I still felt like I had so much more work and now that I've gained a bit I would just LOVE to be where I was then. It's so hard to be accepting of your body and I think it's just always a work in progress for everyone. I agree with HCB - I think a good pair of pants every once in a while are a worthwhile investment. I had clothes to "lose into" on my way so I ended up with some stuff that fit decently most of the time and as I got lower and ran out of smaller clothes I did buy a few things. Even if you only wear it for a short period of time, I found it did amazing things to my morale and confidence wearing something I felt good in. Aaaand I just left you a novel haha. Sorry :)
