Yesterday I started the Fat Fast. Let me start off with I will NEVER again eat sardines and mayo, I will never ever again eat sardines. I am sure anyone interested can see my food for the day so I wont go into specifics. I will say I made my first Lemon Cheesecake Fat Bomb from the recipe in here and it was a MUCH needed aperitif after eating that disgusting fish (no offense to anyone who enjoys them).

I am drinking my morning coffee with coconut oil and heavy whipping cream. Not bad at all.

I am a night eater. I have 4 rescue dogs that like to wake me up throughout the night to patrol our back yard. Last night was the first night in a LONG time that I did not put something in my mouth while I was waiting for them to return. Proud of that.

I took myself off of the Nortriptyline. Not sure if it was a good idea, but Neuropathy can be treated by diet and the right supplements. Going to go that route.

Currently taking Magnesium, Complex B's, I have Alpha Lipioc on it's way, and Legal CBD oil.

I am not weighing myself until tomorrow or the next day, depending how I feel in my clothes. The Keto strip is reading just under high and I want to give it a couple of days.

I understand that you are supposed to lose and than gain back around 40-50 % of that loss. I am curious to see what happens.

Thanks for reading and have a good day. :)

The "gain back" idea -- Do you mean that this is a "normal" course for LCHF/Keto WOE? I haven't come across that idea.

I was on gabapentin/Neurontin for diabetic peripheral neuropthy. All it did was make me drowsy during the day -- to the point that I'd fall asleep at my desk at work. Since beginning LCHF, the mixed sensations ("buzzing" vibration, stabbing pain, a pressure-like feeling as if my feet were wrapped tightly with heavy tape) have eased and no longer keep me awake at night. That's a big MAC for me!

I think you only gain that much back if you quit the eating lifestyle that you've chosen to lose the weight and get off the meds. I keep messing up and eating the carbs so I do the yo-yo or carnival roller coaster. Ups and downs, but only because I start adding in carbs. Damn I hate what carbs do to me, and yet I eat them!!! Go figure. Yesterday it was popcorn at the movie and tortillas. Stupid-stupid-stupid choices.

Dboza, I agree: You don't gain "40-50 percent" of your weight loss without overeating. I find it easier to stick to LCHF when I plan my meals/snacks the night before.

The gain back is from the "Fat Fast" which is an attempt to break a 2 week stall. It is a very high fat 80-90% for 3 to 5 days. Dr. Atkins introduced it. I am only doing it to hopefully break the stall, then I will go back to HFLC WOE.
