I don't regret And I was Thursday's child

Good day everyone!! I bought one of those little plastic lemons yesterday to add to my unsweet tea (which I loathed prior to this diet, and now, actually crave at times) and my morning water because I have heard there are great benefits to adding lemon juice to your morning water. Well, I realized that 1tbsp adds 1 carb to my daily intake. While that isnt a lot, it kind of annoys me! I know that there are liquid sweeteners that I can add, but the sweetness makes me crave, so I stay away from that, I wanted something that I could add without worrying about it. I know that 1 carb isnt going to kill my daily macros, so I will probably keep using it, but ugg!!

My mother in law makes the best crescent rolls, and she was making them last night for dinner tonight. I think we are having pork loin. I love the way she does her pork loin too, she slits it every 2-3 inches and stuffs smashed garlic cloves in and then marinates it overnight in soy sauce, pepper, and more garlic powder and then cooks it in the slow cooker all day. It is fall apart tender and so delicious. But anyway, back to the rolls, when she rolls the dough out, she takes and smears butter all over it before rolling them into beautiful little crescents, then she paints more butter on them, lets them rise and bakes them golden brown. I was watching her mix the dough knowing that when I get home from work today, the house will smell deliciously of baked bread and pork. I can eat the pork...but the rolls!!! AGGHHHHH

Well, thats my rant for today!

Today I will pray for strength for the day, I will pray for patience with my boss and joy from within to overcome the nasty feelings I have at times. I will pray for peace for those who struggle, and will lift up thanks for the gift of another day. I will pray each and every one of us gets through the day in the best way possible. I will pray for willpower and perseverance. In Jesus name! Amen!!

those little plastic lemons are filled with sulfites anyway..they almost never go bad it seems..which is not a good thing. i do notice that fresh lemons seem to last forever before going bad..and I'm pretty sure a whole lemon has 5g of carbs so I'd imagine a thin slice would be not much at all. just a thought! and as for the crescent rolls i have no words...i would have to leave the house..

First, i love that meme, it made me lol. Second, i don't really like pork loin but that sounds amazing. Mmmmmmmmm! Third, um.... I mean... Does MIL know you are doing keto and is it necessary for her to make something that would test ANYBODY'S resolve? I mean c'mon!

It always aggravates me when I check a label and there's one or two lonely, desperate, needs-attention little ol' carbs or sugars hanging around, it's like, "go home carbs, nobody wants you!"

I know that you will pass the crescents rolls (play on the old commercial)..... put a little more butter on another vegetable.

I would be so nasty about the crescent rolls because I love bread SO much! But if you are missing it lots you might try some mug bread with that excellent sounding pork loin! LOL 🙋🏻

Seltzer/Mineral Water with lime juice is my go to drink. I haven't craved sodas or other drinks in years.

@Jengefit - She cooks for the whole family, so since I am the only one not eating bread, she makes sure that I get extra meat and stuff. Its still is hard to smell them and not want to eat them right out of someones hand! haha *****@Phil, I know!! Its so frustrating, its always 1 or 2 that are hiding in there! ***** Yes, her pork loin is amazing!! I would eat it forever! She also makes really great meatloaf, she uses tofu instead of breadcrumbs and it makes it more tender. I dont eat it anymore, due to soybeans being higher in carbs, but it was good. I love bread though and man I miss those rolls.

Haha, reminds me of an old ep of friends when phoebe is pregnant and even though she is a vegetarian she craves meat so bad she eats a sandwich that someone else is holding. Omg i looooooooove meatloaf too. You can also bulk it up with veggies like mushrooms and zucchini, but you probably know that, haha. I will be sending you vibes tonight bc i think the crescent rolls sound downright cruel!

lol thanks!! I am going to need it!! I might just stick my face close the basket and breath deep, I dont think breathed in carbs count! haha

Don't get hung up on that one gram of carbohydrate! That one carb is working very hard! Lemon water helps digestion. Add unpasteurized apple cider vinegar (Bragg's is a good brand) to pump up your electrolytes. It's all good!
