I'm an artist and writer living in southern Mexico. I have always been the big guy carrying extra pounds most of my life I have averaged 250 to 265. But I gained a lot of weight after moving to Wisconsin and taking a desk job answering the phone (gained 90lbs in under a year). I moved to Mexico in 2016 to write and get away from American food. At 342 I'm probably the biggest guy in the entire country of Mexico or at least it seems like it. Keeps me motivated to lose weight, I guess. I played football in middle school and high school. I found running track or intense running sports difficult. I liked weight training and yoga and am trying to get back my flexibility. I've been about the same size shoulders and feet since I was 14 but the belly has fluctuated. I'm looking to get back to 245 and after that reset my goal and drop lower still.

Years ago after another sedentary desk job I had put on the pounds and close to where I am now. I went on the BloodType Diet and started immediately dropping weight. I ended up losing 150 lbs on the BloodType diet but it is hard and expensive to maintain. Wheat crept back into my eating habits and here I am again well beyond my norm. I am now trying Keto but sticking with the food recommendations from the BloodType Diet since my body has always reacted negatively to the foods it recommended to avoid. I feel the combination of the 2 diets are completely compatible so we'll see what happens.

Keto Questions
So when you start out and run the numbers in the Keto Calculator it give you a series of ratios to hold to. After you have lost some weight do you go back and rerun the numbers? Should I hold on that ratio for a time? The K/AK number was around 1.67

Currently I'm doing 75 fats, 10 carbs, and 15 proteins @ 2500 calories per day. I had started out at 2800 calories but it was too much so i lowered the amount. 2500 still too much so I adjusted the calories down cause I felt like I was forcing myself to eat a few things I didn't really want. So now I'm looking at 2400 calories and a 72.5 fats, 5 carbs, and 22.5 proteins. If I do the new numbers the K/AK number will be 1.85. I don't have test strips yet but will have them next week.

So should I keep my body guessing and switch things up or keep the same 75/10/15 steady course?
