ok, this is day one of the Almased plan. I am planning on staying on the inital fast for at least 3 days maybe longer but we will see how it goes. So far it is ok. I do like the taste of the powder and it mixes easy with unsweet vanilla almond milk plus i added a little cinnamon.
This morning I did have my coffee with unsweet hazelnut creamer and coconut oil. It really perks me up for the busy day at work and tastes super. Right now I'm having some vegie broth. I did not make it myself. It is Swansons Organic, was on sale at winn dixie and is easier and less expensive than getting all the vegies and cooking them down (they discarding the solids!) I'd rather wait until I'm at the point where I'm eating the solid vegies and then not discard anything! The one big thing I'll probably miss is my apple and peanut butter I normally have at lunch, but next week I'll add that back in, just be sure to keep the portion NORMAL! Oh and yes I'll miss my glass of wine (or bottle of wine) in the evening. BUT I'll have a nice glass of jasmine/ginger tea maybe that will be special :-) Hope to hear from others that have or or trying the Almased plan. Wish there was a support group here for it.
