madjak30's Journal, 16 April 2012

Wifey asked me last night if I would help her to lose some weight. I am kinda excited to help her out. I won't have to make separate meals for the girls then me...now we can all just eat the same.

I'll have to get her to sign up & start tracking the calories and explain healthy choices and eating less more often.

I just have to make sure I don't over do it, or she may not want my help any more.

Her first reaction was that she wants to start going for walks every night (dog will be very happy!), which is a great idea but the biggest impact is making the right food choices (portions and healthy choices)

Kinda pumped for this to happen!

Later.

Nice Madjak. My wife did essentially the same thing. It can be a touchy subject with a marriage when she is pigging out in the kitchen on pretzels, so there is some separation needed. Tread carefully my friend, but it is certainly a good thing you have rubbed off on her. :-P. My wife has access to the site too, and my journals, which can be scary but she hardly uses it. Anyway, Good luck pal!

Yeah, that part does make me nervous...I also don't want to be the "diet police" for her...it has to be her choice, but I can help her with the planning just not the sticking to it...I want to stay married! Later.

Well the fact that your spouses have asked to join you on your journey gives me hope. My man has finally come around to supporting my efforts in his own way--essentially that means he is honoring my food choices and not trying to sabotage me with sweets. I am hoping that eventually he will get to a place where he wants to join me. Good luck madjak!
