kjbear75's Journal, 24 March 2012

I felt guilty last night. My daughter wanted taco's for dinner and she only eats one, so I had 2 more than her! OUCH, that felt like a weight in my stomach all night. Would have been better to have taco salad, but the warm tortilla was the best!

So I was worried on the scale this morning-down another! YEAH! Still felt bad. So my grocery list today has nothing but salad fixings on it! IF I can keep to that until Thursday when a friend and I go to lunch, I will have my reward then, but right to the store for more healthy foods. LOL

HAve a great day!!

You can eat tacos and still lose weight. If I make soft tacos, I try to get lower carb ones or whole wheat ones for myself. I measure out the meat and then pile on lettuce tomato and a little non fat sour cream and salsa. One can actually fill me up, two if I'm starving. Pair it with half a cup of black beans for more protein and fiber. Chicken fajitas are great too. I'm a volume eater, so I like to pile on the veggies to make portions bigger without adding a lot of calories. Salads are great, but you aren't going to spend your whole life eating salads. Skinnytaste.com and emilybites.com are two sites with wonderful food ideas. They lighten up foods that normally would be a lot of calories without losing the taste. Good luck!
