I biked 120 miles this weekend and didn't loose a pound :-(

I'm blaming the scale! I went out last night and bought a new scale with a very large capacity. One that can easily support my fat ass. Unfortunately, it showed me the same number that my old scale said. I think there is a conspiracy by all of the scales in the world against me.

Try measuring yourself. You might just be losing inches and not pounds.

I know how frustrating it can be. It might be your heart rate. I put this same advice in everyone's journal comment b/c I've noticed it with me. If I don't watch how high my heart rate is, I don't lose ANYTHING. So, no matter how much exercising you do, if your heart rate isn't in the "Zone" that it needs to be, you're only going to burn sugar and not fat. You're definitely motivated to exercise, though! Two thumbs up! :)

Hang in there and really listen to what has been posted above, if you are gaining muscle you will not see a difference on the scale. Measure yourself to truly see what you are loosing and defiantly keep that heart rate up...I notice that once I started concentrating on that, me weight also started to come off! Keep you chin up, soon then later you will start dropping!

I am convinced my scale is defective also! I measure myself and that is my real gauge. Like the others say, measurements are far better for seeing progress as you burn off that fat:)
