April 22: Tried something new with the Planking...since it is hard for us to get on the floor because of our knees...I used a kitchen chair and planked on it with straight arms...I felt it in my legs more than my stomach but did feel it in my stomach too some after I stood up. I went 30 seconds on the chair. I will probably do a few more of those today...may even try going for 1 minute...then 2...then 3...this is great!!!

This is not me, in the picture, of course, but this is what I did.

Great Job Karen! Planks are an awesome core workout, never seen it done with a chair before though. Will have to share this with my Mum.

We are in our 60s and it is so hard for us to get up and down...and I've fell on my knees so many times it is excruciating for me to get on them, to get back up off the floor...so this was excellent for me and I felt the same results. Your mom will love it. I think I will try to go lower though with my forearms on the chair next time.

Great job! I get some yoga in my water aerobics class. It's definitely helped my balance and if I fall, I just fall into the water. Doesn't hurt as much as falling on the floor. :-)
