Sandy701's Journal, 02 January 2012

Just 1.5 miles walked this morning with both doggies and DH. It was sunny but cold (for here)and blustery. Even bundled up, my forehead was feeling like an ice cube in all that wind, so I cut the walk short.

I watched the movie, "Supersize Me" yesterday. Wow...just how I'm feeling, unfortunately. Luckily, I'm MORE than ready to get back to my normal eating patterns. Isn't it funny...I'm actually thinking of this WOE as my "normal" now. As I'm back to my lower carb foods, I'm feeling better with each hour that goes by.

These holidays weren't all that bad, compared to what I ate a few years ago. But my body really doesn't like those things any more....bloating, thirsty, heart pounding, etc. Water will be an especially close friend of mine these next couple of days! I need to let my body re-set itself from this abuse to the system. No drastic measures, as that can be just as detrimental as carb overload. No need to drop back to Induction...just need to be back at reasonable carb levels, eating as clean as I can.

Like that old song says, "This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin' around."

Watch out world....those last pounds are OUTTA HERE!!

Yes, Buffy, I'm back. I wasn't so much tired of this WOE, as it turns out, just tired of having those last pounds hanging over me day after day after day. Luckily, I keep finding song lyrics that speak motivation to me!! Have a good week, too.

Notfast...NO FAIR!! Keeping my fingers crossed that the meteorologists are correct and that we'll be back to 70 by the weekend.

Stef, the last time I had extra carbs on purpose (last holiday season), I didn't feel all that bad coming out of it, but THIS time was an entirely different story! I guess my body is really becoming adapted to low carb after almost 2 years. Hope you're feeling strong in your new year's resolve.
