bowmike06's Journal, 23 December 2011

Well i am down 3.8pound since joining this site a few days ago. I have drastically dut my caloring intake to around 1500 a day. I am eating healthier. yesterday i took my pure bread bird dog Lilly for a jog. I was able to to a half mile straight on my first day back. Boy did she make me look like a joke. She didn't even get a drink or get out of breath on the first half mile. I walked about a quarter mile then did my own challenge and jogged up a long hill before retiring to my home stead. I am also working at getting 50 pushups a day. 25 in morning and 25 in evening. I am at 10 right now.

These tasks used to be so easy and i used to burn 1500 to 1600 calories on a treadmill in an evening. Oh well not there yet but i am definetly happy with the 3.8 pound loss so far. Lets see how i do during Christmas and New years. I know i will be drinking a lot on new years but i may get Vodka instead of my usual 50 beers. LOL

Diet Calendar Entry for 23 December 2011:
180 kcal Fat: 5.00g | Prot: 10.00g | Carb: 24.00g.   Breakfast: Ultra Weight Loss Shake - Creamy Milk Chocolate. more...

Mike, good for you!! keep it up :) I know I'll be drinking a lot too for New years eve. I'll be spending it in NYC at an open bar with friends, so you know what that means. BUT that just means we have to factor those calories into our calorie intake. My plan is, because I will be in NY all week visiting my family, is to go for a run with my brother every day. This way, I'll be burning plenty of calories so it will be okay to indulge one night! Try to set a plan for yourself for the next week in order to enjoy yourself on new years eve. Write it down!! It will help you keep yourself accountable for it.

Mike. From what I have read, I believe you have already started off with the right attitude by being honest with what you eat and then setting reachable goals to stay motivated. Getting from where you are now to where you want to be is not a choice of diet, but a change in lifestyle. Once you can identify the factors that are attributed to your current condition you can begin to hit them head on. There will be times when you feel that you aren't making progress or have hit a wall and this website is great for airing out your frustrations, trying what works for others, or just plain getting support form the rest of us who have similar objectives. I believe that all people are capable of great things if they are willing to work for it. You can do it!

Hi! Tough time of year to start watching what you eat, but in some ways it's perfect isn't it? You'll be able to start the new year off right- feeling like you're able to accomplish any objectives you set... :) Hope this holiday weekend is terrific for you!
