I went shopping last night and Bruce gave me lots of clothes. I have enough clothes for a while, just sneakers and winter/utility shoes, not really boots since my feet can get arthritis pain from wearing heavy stuff. Kohl's is OK, people who shop there tend to dress better than the average crowd, but no shoes for me there, I wear 13 in their size - 12 does not fit like it does at other stores, which is why it is good to always try on shoes first. Bruce gave me a lot of clothes. I told him not to wear wear nice clothes to work they'll get ruined. Anyway, rain today later and I need to get a bit of food so will go shopping today, but walking isn't likely going to happen much. I need to do laundry but it will probably be tomorrow. One should check WalMart or Target before heading somewhere like Kohl's or Old Navy, similar clothes can be found a lot cheaper at the lower priced stores and the quality isn't any different for the most part - made overseas still. I hope to get some cleaning done today, the dieting is going well - bacon and eggs for breakfast...

Glad to hear you are all set for fall - except for your feet - and hope that gets remedied soon. Just be glad you don't have to shop for women's shoes - all the cute stuff has 3 inch heals.

Yes, I found a great pair at WalMart last night. I do recommend them or Target for decent shoes. Of course they don't sell suits or decent jackets but they do sell some good clothes there at times - especially on clearance. I am set for winter except two pair of shoes and a coat and some socks, after that I may not need to do any clothes shopping for well over six months, I have enough spring and summer clothing now - I just need some light fabric suit jackets for spring...

I got shopping done, missed getting a few things so will have to go likely once over the weekend at least. Yes, it is difficult getting around with no car. My mom says, "You can take the bus." Like that is a picnic, you end up going three or four times a week because you can't carry much on the bus, and in the process I believe one overspends or misses out on sales because they can't get to every store nearby that people driving can - and also one wastes so much time waiting for a bus and taking it, nearly two hours for one short shopping trip. Each time, and it is a hassle. I never drove and never will, but it is affecting my life in a negative way as I can't ask a woman to go somewhere when I have no way to take her. Otherwise, I am doing well and got laundry done and just need to do towels and sheets and such over the weekend or tomorrow. I'm off to a veteran's meeting now...
