I just joined the "first to 5" challange. While I doubt I will be the first, I will be a winner when i lose 5#! I am starting to get in the groove with recording all I eat and not eating in the evening. I know this week will be difficult as I have several meals with friends at restaurants this week including two evening meals. How to be sociable and not indulge. People always think something is wrong if you are not eating or eating little. I'll let you know how I did.

Welcome. Its not that you have to not eat, or eat little, but be wise in the choices you make. My husand and I faced this same challenge. Shortly after we started our low carb diet, our small group from church decided to go to a favorite pasta place for dinner. We love love love pasta, but it was not allowed on our diet, especially in the beginning. While everyone else had pasta, we enjoyed a steak and salad. We were stuffed, and it did cost us a bit more but we stayed within our plan. We have learned to adjust while going out, and occasionally now can endure a cheat meal. I'm not controlled by the food any longer and can cheat for one meal and not crave the bad foods. I also eat much less food than I used to. I'm not at my goal yet but well on my way, steady loss and much better health. I'm don't know what plan you are on, but check the menu online before going so you know what you can order, and enjoy your time with friends.
