HARLOWJAMESON's Journal, 08 July 2015

Ugh! I am feeling horrid. I am not a moody person but since I changed my diet and have been working out, I have become extremely moody. I'm easily agitated. I feel like I have hit a wall. What was easy has now become difficult. Just need to figure out how to get over this wall and stay positive and motivated. I want to live a HAPPY and healthy lifestyle. I have the healthy part down but it has seem to have altered the happy. Tomorrow is another day.

SO sorry to hear you have the blues! Are you getting enough sleep? Try taking an herbal supplement like St John's Wort, as that will help boost seritonin levels. Or you could try a small piece of very dark chocolate, at least 70% cacao...good luck! SS

We all hit that wall at some point...I know I did just about a month ago. Sometimes different supplements or vitamins help; other times, it's something you just have to push through...with support from the folks here at FS, of course! :) Wishing you the best!

What are you eating? It sounds like your body is crying for nutrition and/or calories. In order to LOSE weight, your body needs a minimum number of calories, depending on height and frame. At 5'4", 1200 is my minimum. Yours may be higher. Another key is where those calories come from. For maximum health, check into one of these diets: http://www.dadamo.com/ or http://www.bodytypes.com/Body_Type_System/Home.html

I get like that when I cut carbs. It's so bad, I have to add them back to my diet in moderate amounts, because I am virtually IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. Also because I hate feeling irritable. Misery isn't worth all that.

also, if you don't eat enough to provide the energy for the workouts, everything is more difficult. I generally eat more when I'm doing an extremely hard crossfit program. When I ate less, I couldn't complete an entire workout without feeling weak and shaky and almost passing out.

Please tell me your food log is incomplete. If not, calories are way too low. Must be incomplete, yes? I don't have too much trouble with it if I restrict carbs, but restricting fat long term is brutal on the hormonal system. You'll figure it out.

Thanks everyone! This community really has been the best. I'm taking everything everyone is saying into account. My food diary is off..a little. I am not eating enough. So that's one major factor. If I think about it, I have completely eliminated carbs and sugar...my body is SO not use to that. I need to be okay with eating healthier options to rectify that. I will get through this. I'm learning and everyone has certainly helped!! Lifesavers!!!

We're all here to help each other. I tend to go in cycles with the way I diet... and the way I exercise... and the type of music I play... and....
