I woke up this morning (everyone is still asleep even now) and thankfully all the cookies have been eaten. Late night cookie baking should be forbidden in my house but it's three against one :(

My youngest daughter made Apple muffins this morning and yes it is hard to resist them, but so far I have! just have to keep trying to resist all the goodies.

Yes... we have to resist the goodies! my oldest daughter is stick thin - she weighs under 100 and her metabolism burns everything up.... Oh, to be young again.

Hope she is also eating good for her foods.. My girls were that way as was I, both my grand daughters wear a size 0 at ages 16 and 14.

Maybe next time enjoy a half cup of milk and a half a cookie as slow and mindfully as you can and savor every moment and then be done with the temptation. Then cleanse your pallet with that isn't sweet.

WFN: my daughter is a mindful eater when it comes to her meals. She carefully tries to balance her nutrients. Sweets are a once in a while indulgence with her - she has food consciousness which I never had at her age. I never even thought of my body image much back then!

jparlett: What a great suggestion ... don't go overboard but mindfully indulge in a small way. This is a tip for the future and maintenance too! I have never truly done that with sweets - I literally inhale the stuff and it's over before I know it! This is my issue with goodies and self control - Behaviours that I have to "unlearn".
