Hello all,

Here goes my Bio

I am 44 yrs old & have been the mid 200's for many many yrs. I have been married to my best friend for 19 years valentines day 2015. We have 1 daughter, and I have 3 step children, all wonderful and all happy :) I am finishing up my masters degree & will be pursuing my PhD. I am self employed which makes my time very flexible.

I still manage to keep somewhat active which is the only reason I am on the healthier side right now, for now. I ride horses (used to ride competitively, would love to get back there), I walk, ride bike, use my water rower & try to jog ;) I've had animals all my life so I have always kept busy :) I live in central Orlando, FL & have complete access to Universal Studios daily (parks and citywalk) so I use that as my own personal gym. I am very lucky I can do that, and I love it. I drive my husband into work sometimes & then wait until he is done which means I am at the park all day long sometimes, good place to get walking & stairs in & I'm even finding great healthy choices for food there as well so I am not eating park food. :)

I started LCHF lifestyle change March 21, 2015. Lost 5.5 lbs the first 6 1/2 days being good. So going to stick with this plan and see where it takes me. :) I do not take any daily prescription pills. I see the dr and have my blood work done every 6 months. BP is good, Cholesterol is holding at about 200 (could be better for sure), sugar is good, nothing out of range. (knocking on every piece of wood I can find right now!) I only take 6000mg fish oil, 99mg potassium, 500mg magnesium, and 1000mg Vit C. I am trying to eat clean (or at least much cleaner) than I did when I was younger. I have been doing that for about 2-3 years now. I feel much better.

My mother had diabetes & did not lead a very active or healthy lifestyle. She was on 12 different meds, taking 30 pills a day. I am determined not to be like that.

Hi! Good for you! I'm in Florida, USA.
Perseverance is the answer...it's hard to exercise every day and eat right consistently. You need to find a programs that works best for you. I'll invite you to be my buddy! Good luck!!!
